Terrassa, 1 October 2025 – Rockfield Real Estate and Ardian, together with Yugo, the international student accommodation operator, have officially opened the new Can Telar student complex in the heart of the AEG district in Terrassa. The project is all about connection, hospitality, community spirit and core values that are central to the living concept.
New accommodation for 369 students
Can Telar offers 369 modern student rooms, of which approximately 40% are currently rented out, mainly to students from Catalonia and international students. The complex was developed by Acciona and was completed on 1 September 2025. All facilities are now fully operational.
What makes Can Telar unique is its extensive range of shared spaces that stimulate residents’ social lives. On the ground floor, there is a large dining room that also serves as a communal living room, a fitness room, a co-working space and a spacious terrace with a swimming pool. In the basement, there is a lounge with billiards and table football, a games room, a cinema room and a shared kitchen.
Official opening in the presence of partners and the local council
The official opening took place in the presence of representatives from Rockfield, Ardian, Yugo and the Terrassa municipal council. The importance of student housing that goes beyond just a room was highlighted, emphasising that it is all about community and well-being.
In line with the community living concept, Yugo regularly organises activities and events for residents. A public cafeteria will soon open on the ground floor, where local residents are also welcome. Affordable meal options are offered to residents of Can Telar.
Area development of AEG district in full swing
In addition to the student complex, developer Acciona is continuing to work on the area development of the AEG site. A central promenade and four new residential buildings will contribute to a lively and dynamic urban district in Terrassa.
