Location

Durando is located in Milan’s Bovisa neighbourhood, right next to the campus of the prestigious Politecnico di Milano. This location is perfect for students who want to live centrally in a neighbourhood with a strong academic and innovative atmosphere. Bovisa is currently undergoing a large-scale transformation, with projects such as MoLeCoLa (the redevelopment of the train station) and La Goccia, a plan by Politecnico that includes new laboratories, classrooms and a 40,000 sq m urban park. Thanks to a direct tram connection and the nearby train station, the city centre is easily accessible.

Apartments

Durando consists of two buildings and offers a total of 612 beds. Building A will open in January 2025, while Building B will follow in September 2025. Rooms range from studios (20-31 m² on average), twin units (26 m²), to premium studios and apartments of up to 50 m². All units are modernly furnished, including private bathroom, kitchenette, Wi-Fi and ample storage space. The design supports both independent living and shared housing.

Sustainability

Durando is aiming for the LEED Gold certification, which puts sustainability at the heart of design and implementation. Building A has already received a Gold Merit Award for the city’s most sustainable building project.

Living concept

The complex offers extensive facilities, including communal study areas, an indoor garden, parking facilities (272 spaces), 10 commercial units and various communal areas. Operator aparto also organises social and educational activities, from cooking and language courses to events around sustainability and well-being.
